About AHPCO

For more than 40 years, The Alabama Hospice and Palliative Care Organization has been Alabama’s voice for hospice and end-of-life care.

We started with a simple purpose: help people understand that hospice is a benefit they’ve already earned through Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance plans.

about

Our Mission

AHPCO is a nonprofit made up of hospice and palliative care programs across Alabama. We provide accurate, up-to-date information on end-of-life care, advocate for stronger end-of-life care policy at the state and federal level, and work to build a deeper understanding of hospice in every community we serve.

Our goal is to be a grassroots voice for patients and families when it matters most.
